End of Summer

September Report
What a busy summer it’s been! We just want to share some of the highlights with you!

After returning from Zambia, we took four days in early June for strategic planning and evaluation. We finished with a refreshed focus and excitement for the future. We also developed an updated mission statement:

“The mission of Ignition Point Ministries is the creative communication of this message: ‘Passionate relationship with Jesus Christ combined with fearless pursuit of God-given purpose changes the world.'”

Whether LIVE and in person (leading worship and speaking), through CREATIVITY (through books, music, and videos), or through OUTREACH (missions and LOVE Project outreaches), the communication of that message is the ultimate goal.

We’ve also established a headquarters for Ignition Point Ministries in downtown Jacksonville! We’ve rented some great office space in a historic building in the center of our city to enable us to grow and add staff!

ON THE GO:
SAVANNAH, GA – Again this year, we had the pleasure of spending two days at the Iris Global School of the Arts in Savannah, GA. It is always such a cool experience to pour into artists of every type, from all over the world, who love Jesus and are pursuing their passions.

BRAZIL – Jeremiah was back and forth to Brazil twice since our last update, leading worship and speaking in a total of five different cities. One week before the Olympics, he was in Rio at a conference called “Next.” He preached a powerful message centered around the question, “What comes next?” It was especially applicable in a country that has spent the last decade preparing for the World Cup and then the Olympics, and has recently seen its’ President impeached and removed from office. Now that events have ended and leadership is changing, Brazilians are looking forward to what is next. But this message is so powerful for all of us! Every day can be a new normal, a chance to slam the door on the past that was yesterday and receive His mercy, His hope, His vision anew for today!!

We also released a video of Jeremiah’s song, “Nada Mais Satisfaz” which was recorded a few months ago in Brazil. It was released on Facebook and Youtube and has over 106,000 views on Facebook with almost 2,400 shares, and almost 110,000 views on Youtube… Crazy results considering we have no record label or company behind us!!

TUCSON, AZ – We spent a weekend in Tucson leading worship and speaking at four different services for Living Hope Family Church and one of their church plants in the nearby city of Marana. It was a wonderful weekend. People were provoked and encouraged, youth found renewed zeal, and some even gave their hearts to Jesus for the first time!!

JACKSONVILLE, FL – At home, we were able to be a part of the what is happening in our local churches! I spoke at Redeemer Church in Ponte Vedra, FL for their monthly outreach night and Jeremiah led worship at a city-wide worship night held by Grace Church of Avondale. We always love being a part of things right here in our own town!

CURRENT PROJECTS:
THE BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY – In case you haven’t seen the Beautiful Community page on FaceBook, we are working hard to expand not only the audience of women and girls we reach, but also the voices speaking into their lives. We have produced a series of short video messages full of teaching and encouragement. In addition, I’ve also invited some friends to share their thoughts through writing and video. I am excited to empower more voices to spread the message in the coming months!

IGNITION POINT PODCAST – We released 10 episodes this year so far and will have a new one entitled, “Bleh” (yep, it will be fun) coming out soon!

COMING SOON:
Currently I am in Indaiatuba, Brazil, speaking at a women’s conference and then at another church in São Paulo. Soon after I get back, I will speak at another women’s conference near Jacksonville. At the end of September, Jeremiah and I will both be at the Worship United conference in Wilmington, NC. Then we will minister at another church in Boston the middle of October. Then to Argentina, Chile and back to Brazil. Busy days!

THANK YOU for your constant support and prayers. Without each of you, none of this would be possible! And, I want to say a special thank you to those who support us monthly….BECAUSE OF YOU…your consistency to stand with us….we can take many of these opportunities to speak and lead worship in places that can’t afford to bring us. We also are looking at so many opportunities for the LOVE Project in the future! Having a steady support system we can count on, makes all of it possible…so truly, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts!!

Much Love,
Courtenay Bowser
